Hook the tactrix cable up to the obd2 port, select "read from ecu" in the ecuflash, and then when it pops up save it. Just save the rom. You will not need this rom again unless you go back to stock. You WILL NEED a evo rom. So download the tephra rom AND roadspikes rom. You will only be using the tephra rom though. Roadspikes rom has the stock lancer info in it which will be transferred to the tephra rom.

Ok i got tephra V7. And was able to open in ecuflash.

For roadspike what map am i downloading. They have a couple. SD? No SD. And only for Models 05+.

Once I find that I'm only moving over the rom ID and ECU ID?

Thanks

The 05+ rom will work. You need the NON SD version. Don't mess with the rom id. Just move the stuff over for the maf, injectors, etc. Into the tephra rom.

Ok Road block again.

After new valve cover seal and new oil/oil filter put in. She doesn't run again. turns over and cranks but no firing up.

Im at a loss of words right now as I cant believe the pain this is being.

Besides that I got My Tephra rom setup with the map info from Roadspikes. I was going to flash in onto the car tom, but I cant since it wont start again.

2steps forward 1step back. Back into this headache.

if you have any idea guys, im just so frustrated at this point.

Disable the immobilizer. Put "0000" into it or "FFFF".

O. If you're on the stock rom it's a mechanical issue again. Double check your connections.

Are the coils plugged in? It's the only other thing that would give you problems if you changed your valve cover gasket.

Just take your time. Check your fuses to. Did you mess with the fuel pump?

2 Blown fuses. Changed them, BAM! Fired right up. Took the first cruise in her. only hit little boost to see if boostgauge/BOV/wastegate worked. All checked out perfect.

Im still reading over and double checking my tephra roms.

I noticed my stock roms had much lower values than those in roadspikes huge maps.

my load is 260+ on most tables. including MAP,Ijector, fuel, ect.

also some data changed over had really weird ending values.
Again all data transferd over was from (Recommended) roadspikes huge rom.

I cant thank you all enough, Especially jakermeister.

jakermeister you're the man. This process has been a big learning session, I thought I knew what I was doing till I ran out of all my amateur mechanic ideas.

Lets get Tuning!

So its been about a week and she's running Good. My Service engine soon light came on and I didn't notice anything wrong, started her today and light went away. Should I be concerned? Also I'm working on my cruise maps, I cannot get the little stutter to go away but I'll get there.

Looking at my boost gauge my vac is 22 almost 23. I know 20 is what I truly want. What could be causing this sudden increase in vac. My idle is normal and everything but slowly my vac is gaining. (was 20 for first couple days).

Tuning is like homework to me. I love it and hate it. It's a learning process and a fun one.

Thanks! BOOOOOOOST
