Curious. Where does the oil pressure line get tapped from?

On the 2.0L Lancers, where are the oil pressure lines being tapped from? I have heard both oil pressure sender and oil filter housing.

Reason why I was asking is that I am thinking about getting the cheapturbolines.com kit. It looks pretty good and has the no clamp fittings. Any opinions on this?

I don't like their inflated claims, I don't like the looks of the generic parts their use, I don't like internal wastegates, I don't like their lack of a reputation.

Get under the car and look at where the oil filter screws onto. On the side facing the passenger side tire there is a handy little hex screw. Take it out and screw your 90 degree fitting in there and attach the oil line. Piece of cake.

What's the purpose of that screw anyway? It kept staring at me while I was messing with my belts (again) the other day.

My guess is it is some sort of a clean out like the plumbing has on your house. Maybe you can hook on there and back flush from the filter up. Regardless of its true purpose it makes a handy oil feed.

So long as it's pressurized it's great. I wasn't sure of that either. Mine's a copper T tap on the oil pressure sender. Works great. Simple job.

It's right behind the oil filter. You'll see the pressure sensor wire running from the main ECU harness connected to it.
