installing amp and sub...

i just bought an amp and sub for my LS. ive never done any mods on any kind of car before, so i dont know if installing the amp is something i can do myself and i cant find anything that would explain how to wire it into my car. any help would be great, a link to a thread, or web page, or tell me to take it to a shop and have them do it for me. thanks

i think it's pretty easy, i just watched 2003Lancer do his and i had never done it before, but now i am confident i could do it myself.. it's just a matter of putting a couple wires in the right places.... have someone who knows what they're doing help you. Or watch someone first then give it a try....hope i boosted you confidence a little..late!

Its not too hard i installed my amp tv and dvd player no problem. But if you run into a snag bring it to a circuit city or some place like that.

its really easy i have re wired my stuff at least 10x lol ll u need are crimp caps a wire striper/crimper and some screws for the amp power wire since ls is a auto go thru the hole where clutch would be if it was a 5spd and connect 2 batter look at my pics if need ideas then run it along side boards or under carpet 2 amp either in trunk or under a seat 2 get 2 radio take 2 screws from under ac control area out pull that cubby thing out then look under dash where gas peddel is and look for a blue and black cable thats your ac controls remember which color on top and unplug em takes some effort then from the cubby area with hands reach under and push the trip piece above out and should come loose enoguh 2 pop out

sure its easy but you have to be very careful you don't mess up the power wires. car batteries can be extreamly powerful so you better have full confidence in yourself..just have someone do it for you and watch what they do. your can learn easier and safer that way.

thanks for the help everyone.

i think ill just take it to a shop and have them install it... i dont think i would have a problem doing this myself, the second time... i always seem to screw things up the first time around, mostly because i am impatient and jump right into it. unfortunately i dont have a second car if i break this one
