Question Where did you install your XM reciever, antenna?

Picked up XM for the holidays, and wonder where you have installed the reciever and the antenna... Pictures would be helpful.

You could put the antenna anywhere you deem necessary or most efficient/easy as for the control itself, either on the dash (looks pretty good if done right but I'm sure a thief magnet) or maybe in the lower "cubby".

Was more referring to the box for the reciever... presently I'm thinking of under the front-passenger's seat. For the antenna, the most common place I have seen them is top-center of the rear window... But that's where the standard Radio antenna is... If you installed one, I'd like to know where on the car you placed it.

XM reciever is good under the passengers seat that is where mine is and the antenna anywhere that it is parrallel to the pavement. On the trunk or as i seen on a few cars in the front above the windsheild and paint it the color of ur car it would almost be invisible

I put the antenna on my trunk, centered, up next to the windshield. Doesn't look too bad. The reciever I hid in the trunk. If you lift up the cloth covering of the trunk, where the spare tire is, there is a cavity on the sides near the wheels, a nice hollow space. I fastened it there with some velcro, and have had no problems. No wires sticking out anywhere. Sorry I don't have any pics. Just take out the covering in the trunk and you will see what I am talking about.

put it on the very front of your hood... it can be a hood ornament too!

I was thinking about trying to conceal the wires and put the antenna above the windshield... just don't know if it's possible to hide the wires.

I just installed my XM in my car. I'll see if I can take some pictures. I installed my receiver assembly on the right side of the trunk, behind the trunk trim piece. I actually installed the reciever between the outer sheet metal and inner sheet metal of the car. Just above the right rear wheel well. It looks nice because you can't see it and it doesn't interfere with anything. The wiring I ran down the right rear wheel well to the front of the car.

The antenna I used is a Terk glass mount. I installed it on the top center of the rear glass. Since the wiring is inside the car, I took my headliner out and ran the new antenna wiring alongside the stock antenna wiring, down the "C" pillar (back window glass) and down into the right side of the trunk where my reciever is located. I wrapped all wiring in black corrugate tubing. It looks factory!

I used the black pioneer antenna, ya the one that looks like a fin, and put it on my truck on the right side, so i didnt have to drill any holes. I was thinkin about getting the window mount but i heard they dont work as good as the wired ones.
