Does any one know what size the speakers are that are in the door and above the trunk on a 02 es? thanks for the help

 

I do believe they are 6.75", fortunately for us a very odd size, there are adapter plates to fit 6.5" ones in tho

6.5s will fit also. The holes won't line up perfectly but you can cut material to mount the speakers onto and then attach the material to the frame itself. I zip tied my speakers in the front and back and have had zero issues with sound quality, fitment, etc.

 

The shop put in 6.5 in mine. Dont know what they did.
They said 6x9's wouldnt fit.

 

6.75 for sure. pioneer makes some good direct fit replacements.

6.5" is the deal.

 

Actually, since the cars are made in Japan, and Japan uses the metric system (just like the rest of the civilized world) the speakers are 165 mm. Any european speaker, like DLS, Helix, Brax, should fit perfectly, as should any JDM speakers. North american market speakers are slightly different.
