Door Speaker Fitment

Does anyone know if there is a bracket I can get to mount a 5 1/4" speaker in the front doors? I have a good set of speakers that are 5 1/4" from my old car. I dont feel like spending money to get new ones again. Does anyone know of a bracket I could get?

Or anyone have any other ideas that might work?

Thanks

Thumbs up

the stock door speaker is a 6 1/2 but the mounting holes are 7". there is a bracket on the forum (do a search) to mount very narrow 6 1/2's in the front doors & rear hatch. not sure about 5 1/4. 6 1/2's would sound better anyway. i ran components with fabbed brackets in the yellow '03. for pics, go to this thread:

you could make your own spacer out of 1/4" mdf/masonite or abs. if you do, just make sure you cover it in dynamat or something of that matter so the spacer doesnt vibrate againt the metal door. oh, and if you use any type of wood, definitely seal it with fiberglass resin so it doesnt rot if it gets wet while in the door.

Crutchfield has an adapter part# 142sac656 that will work great for this instance.
