Who or where can i get a aftermarket alt from for our cars??

 

i hear everyone talking about getting a new alt....well from where?????

uhhh.. i dont think local electric shops exist in Delaware... anything else..

 

no car electric shop?...then i dunno

 

I've heard tell that Ralliart makes an upgrade. But the cost to 1) buy it and 2) import it to the U.S. would probably make it a waste of time.

yeah i searched ebay for 2002 lancer alternator and didnt really come up with anything.. what do u mean by a car electric shop? i mean there are car audio stores but i dont think they have anything for the lancer...also is there like a universal one or something ..doesnt it have to be specific for the lancer?

 

do you need a new one, or are you trying to "upgrade"? you can go to pep boys or somewhere to get another one......

i have the same problem, im getting sick of nearly losing my lights at night from the 2000 watt mono and 500w speaker amp, neons, and fogs. i wish they made a higher output, but they dont, yet. and im not turning my stuff off or selling it to solve problem. i can wait, i say at least another 1-3 yrs till our aftermarket comes available, the rx-7 took like 4-6 years to have a large aftermarket.

 

I do not know about where anyone else lives but around here (Virginia-Tennessee) there are several companies that will rebuild your stock alternator to output more voltage. You may want to check your phonebook for any local automotive electrical rebuilders.
