how much have you spent on your audio?
on security?

currently I think mines running around 1.5and on audio. and that's with discount prices.

jl audio 10w7 (paid 85ish) usually runs around 500.
jl audio box $285. currently haven't paid for it but it's in my trunk. waiting to see how much the store is going to charge me.
kenwood 1000watt amp. $250 (usually runs 600)
jl audio 6.5" rounds $300
rockford 225watt amp for the rounds. $185 (going to upgrade this soon)
wires wires and more wires. probably around 100 to 120$
cap, fuses, harnesses for fuses probably around 80-85ish.
alpine headunit 300$


did have an alpine xm reciever in there with a glass mount antenna, but I didnt' liek the antenna (to thick and large) so I took that out. loved the xm however... if they had a different antenna I would still have it.

 

I sepent like more than a thousand already..... I have a 12' JL subs, Sony Xplod cd player/main unit, eclipse speakers (6 1/2), RockfordFosgate Punch Amps...

 

I have spent a total of $17,211.00 for my audio/video system. Yeah I know that's a lot.

I have spent a total of about $900.00 on my security/auto start setup.

What am I running for my system? Don't worry about it ;P

 

Ive spent a little more then 2 thousand.
JL 300/2 , Eclipse 5442 (was a 3421) hu thats broke, 2 eclipse aluminum 12's, and boston acoustic components and coaxils.I need new sub amps so they will be 2x jl audio 500/1

i think that i've spent about 700 so far, it's all worth about 3K, i guess i just know the right people.
(of course none of it is currently in my car, go figure)

 

hes probably full of ****. he dont even have pics of his car in his profile. U know the ***** gotta have a dig cam if he can afford a 17000 sytem. He is a liar, or he just got really ****ed on what he bought. Show car sytems with tvs and all that other **** only run like 10 or less. you guys must be preety damn gullable on here. And to Zapco, if i am wrong, i appologize. post pics then.

 

wu501... I have a friend has a setup with 12 JL 10w7's running on 6 seperate 1000 watt amps... He also has a Mobile video setup with 1 in-dash screen (7" Clarion touchscreen) and a Panasonic 7" in-dash screen for his voice activated GPS system. He also has a 12" widescreen LCD in the trunk, behind his subwoofer setup (Open the hatchback door and ull see the screen which plays whatever he is playing on his DVD player). His whole setup is voice activated as well (all functions and sub functions can be controlled by voice, i.e. radio station CDs, DVD, GPS, and the TV. ). He has a Ford Focus ZX3 (the hatchback) and all those subs are set up in a custom box taking over the back seat. He also has a bunch of lil items like caps and he bought a new alternator and a marine battery to help power the system. I believe he spent about somewhere in the neighboorhood of about $16k on his system... he has a bunch of pictures laying around on the net on some geo****ties site, but im too lazy to find it. So I guess it IS possible to spend that much, but the question is, was he crazy enough to do it?

i've seen his system. he's got pictures. he's not lieing. if you don't believe it, first think about how expensive image dynamics, zapco, and eclipse stuff is. then think about the BEST of that stuff. than put in a custom molded fiberglass trunk, computer, etc. **** adds up. (sorry zapco if i am ruining your surprise)

and if you think show car people only spend 10gs on their car, you haven't seen a real show car. i saw one SUV with 11 tvs in his truck. each one of those had to cost 1g each, plus the 1 20" tv had to be a couple grand, plus installation, plus all the audio equipment.......and that was at a small time show.

 

1 g for a screen ???? 2 g for a 20 inch flat screen??? you can get a 19inch lcd screen for $700......
