HELP: Can't see display on my HU

I have the Kenwood KDC- MP8017.

I had this in my old car and it played great. Now that I put it into my Lancer, the music plays but the display doesn't show. So I took it off and let it collect dust. Now I recently am inclined to upgrade my audio and I want to see if I can fix the headunit once and for all! Any ideas?

Also I broke that lil plastic trim frame that goes around it. I think I must've threw it
away . Anyone know where I can get those or better yet does anyone have a spare lying around?

LED went out, replace it if you are electronically inclined.

riiiiiiiigghht....anyways...now the power doesn't work? The thing doesn't even turn on anymore. I'd like to fix it, but I hope it doesn't cost more than buying a new one.

trim ring: part# B07-3007-03

Now I need your opinion guys...this reciever was an alright reciever. It did it's job and played MP3s...and most importanly matched my color scheme .

Now Should I get this fixed? The most I can pay is $95 + shipping the product to and back. If the repair exceeds $95 then I have the option to still have to it fixed or not. That's their limit on fixing car recievers.

so is it worth it to get it fixed?

Check to see if the faceplate is tight. I had a deck where the contacts were loose when the faceplate was on and the display wouldn't come on but the music played. You could try cleaning them too. Might not be worth it to get fixed if you can get a newer better one for not much more than $95.

You can buy that whole head unit used for $25 on ebay, so I would think they are not worth much, so my answer is no, do not fix it. Alpine is great, I have one and no complaints so far.
