badevo if you ever go to some sound compitions you will notice that earthquake is always in the scene! there subwoofers and there amps are high end and they are compition! and that pic of the autotek stealth amp is not the amp i have! my amp is alot more powerful and about 5 times bigger than that 1, and my amp had true power! some other brands that are good in my opinion are, orion, diamond audio, matts, earthquake, autotek stealth series, crystal subwoofers, image dynamics subwoofers

 

you dont work at no audio shop. cause if you did you would not ask a stupid questions like "whats better jl w7 or rockford p1312s?" cause JL is alot better, and sure they are expensive but you get what you pay for and also how many companys have thats much patents? If you did work at a shop you would also know better and not over power your subs. notice how it says 600 watts peak power or 300 watts peak power, it is telling you not to go over that number.

loudest subs: Pionners SPL5000 - 1 12" does 155db easily, the biggest 12" sub i have ever seen
best amps: JL Audio, Audison amps - all hand built
best speakers: JL Audio, Focal - the best sq speaker i ever heard

I will agree with you on one thing no one can tell you what soundsgood to you, but we can tell you what sounds like overall crap. And if crap sounds good to that person then so be it. To each his own.

 

JL. I have a 10 w7 and a 500.1 in my car. I also have a JL 300.4 and all JL components in my car.......sounds awesome. I love the JL amps.

JL Audio makes the best stuff in the world, I don't care what people say, you get what you pay for when it comes to car audio.

 

JL is not about SPL. It is about SQ. JL audio don't go to SPL events. And what you said up there really show you maturity. If you want SPL get a SPL5000 from pionner, a store near my place had one 12" SPL5000 and they did 155db.

ok i went soft and got a P112S4sub and P2002amp i'm so broke i can't even buy the enclouse i sold the kole for 40bucks with no manual and hte end covers off

 

I got a 12w3v2 sub with an alpine v12 series amp. Honestly I dont even have the bass settings(from the HU) halfway and I think its loud enough. You cant go wrong with JL, its makes my friends 2 10" mtx subs sound like crap.

 

the best test for any audio is your own ear.

def the jl w7's. i kno ppl that have had rockford subs n they blew because they are crap. i got 2 10 inch kicker 7's wit a memphis amp wit n alpine headunit. i seriously have my bass on my headunite set at like -4 or sumthign liek that. the shyt pumps like crazy basically like havin ur own person massage chair every time the bass hits.......

Kicker has close to the WORST sound quality out of any sub brands. Beaten only by sony and audiobahn.

Kicker will sound like a blur of bass, and crappy quality at that. They are horrible. Sure they get loud, but they simply sound like *** doing it.

I can't believe you'd suggest a L7 over the W7. You pay for what you get, the W7 is one of the best sounding subwoofers ever created, and has EXTREME ammounts of excursion.

If money is tight, forget the W7 go with Image Dynamics IDMAX. 95% as good, 1/2 the price. And there are many others i could suggest for nearly half the price as well. But if you simply must have the best, and can afford the install to actually make it sound better then its much more moderately priced competition, then go for it.
