Hit up the junkyard and take their carpeting and speaker covers. Or use some wood and cut holes for the new speakers and lay it over the back dash and put the old or new carpet over that. There's also a how to somewhere on here for fiberglassing a rear speaker deck.

take out the panel they're sitting on, cut a new one with wood and cover it with grey or black felt. I made inserts for mine to cover the holes from removing the speaker covers and the inserts don't look bad but they sit in like crap.

You could always just take the board and carpet out and trace them on some nice wood or soundproof board and cut it to fit. The hole for speakers is like 6.75" so i have to get some wood or something to fill the space up.

Exactly what I was saying. I'll have to do that eventually, too. Too damn cold for all that right now though hahah.

Check out aznflip's fiberglass enclosure tutorial. I modifed his project a little and got great results. I added 6.5 in. speakers and I know it will work with 6x9's. Just cut the rings to fit and glass them in. I thought it was a great tutorial and LOTS of pics to help. Good luck.
