Anybody knows why reciever have the stupid black ring around it and stick out 1/8" from flush?
I wish they make them flust to give it an OEM look.

cause receivers are made to fit in any car with that size slot, with different mounting depths. can't make a receiver that fits flush in multiple cars that have different dash depths.
some cars it will fit flush, some cars it sits behind the dash, some cars it's gonna stick out. just the way it goes.

If you're willing to drill a hole or two in the mounting hardware (I cant see why not), you can usually make anything flush mount anyway. You might just have to stray from the directions and apply a little more careful thought to it - that's all.

Im suprised no one mentioned that aftermarket head units are a bit deeper. And chances are if you got a deck you prolly got rca's and cd changer or XM and what not plugged into the back. I got all that crap on the back of my pioneer and it sticks out just like everyone elses and if it didnt I wouldnt be able to filt all those wires behind it. It is a fair trade IMO.
