Amp Problem
Amp Problem
Today i finally finished the cuttin, screwing, and installation of my false floor, only thing left now is to carpet and do a lil somethin i have planned for a design, i put my wiring back togother, installed my subs, and amp, the remote the power, rca's and all. turn the car on, nothin, the light for the amp comes on by nothin plays, the subs do work i tested it on another system, but i have no idea what it might be, i played w/ the gain, the rcas are plugged in at both ends. if you know what mightve happend pls let me know
What About The Wires Inside The Box? One Of My Speakers Wasnt Working Bc The Soldering On From The Voice Coil To Bracket Was Off... Check Inside The Sub Box. If The Power Light Is On On The Amp I Would Double Check "all" Speaker Wires
remote wire is working, the light on my amp turns on when the radio turns on. my subs work on another system so its fine, im using 2 guage wire for pos. and neg. connections from bat to cap and cap to amp. i just used a volt meter, and everything is working until i get to the audio connections, the terminals are doing nothing. now what?
get an mp3 player and hook it up to the amp (use a 1/8"-to-rca cable), turn the gain on the amp and the volume on the mp3 player ALL THE WAY DOWN, then turn both on, bring up the levels slowly to see if you get anything at all. if not, bad amp.
ive had the amp for a year n a half, its not bat it turns out btw. i got the ingenious idea to back my buddy's tc up to my trunk and ocnnect my rca's to his amp, nothin, so, i went out to wal-mart and got some new rca cable. works like a charm. thx for all ur help guys
