It doesnt mean they are good if they use sub-par components. Hey to each their own. I'm not flaming because you like RF, just saying what my opinion is...

Just checked some "comparible" specs on the RF head units, and 80db singal to noise ratio is one of the worst I have seen....

Panasonic does, and they make most of the CD transports in every brand of car stereo.

Most Blua's, JVC, Denon etc are identical to the low line Sony's and are all built in Sony's Factory in Malaysia or Indonesia. The upper level Blau's are Bosch product out of Germany. They are good, but there are better for the $$$ IMO.

Dual is a brand that split from Jensen when Recoton was sold last year. It was started by some newly unemployed Jensen engineers.

The lower line stuff. They even had Unilink connectors and would control Sony changers.

just switched from a 9835 alpine back to my olllllllld eclipse 8051. in terms of SQ the eclipse eats the alpine alive. in terms of ease of use and ergonomics, the eclipse kills the alpine. in terms of tons and tons of features alpine gets it.

blah i prefer sound over bells and whistles can't beat 8v preouts
