I took it to them the 2nd day I had the car... They had no clue! The Canadian dealers are out to lunch on this matter...

 

Then pull the radio and make sure everything is plugged in.

Drop the headliner and make sure the cable is ok from the antenna (assuming the antenna is on the roof)

Try swapping in a different radio.

 

I'm not about to pull the radio or headliner myself on my brand new car.

I just wish I had a straight answer on this...

 

You have a warranty, correct? Then take your car in and be like "fix this!" Problem solved.

 

I wish they could! I've asked them, and they don't have a clue.

 

Its a Brand New Car its covered under a BUMPER TO BUMPER warrenty. If they can't fix it take it to another dealer It really sounds like its there problem and not a sirius Problem. I have 3 sirius accounts. I had a problem with activating mine only because i got someone that didn't have a clue. But as soon as i found the radio id i was set.

There really isn't anything to activating it, It just sounds as though either A.) they didn't put sirius in yours or B.) Something is screwed up.. If they don't ahve a clue make em replace EVERYTHING until it works

 

For real, a bunch of guys on a forum can't fix this.

Take it to another dealer allready. It is not rocket science.

 

I heard that they don't have Sirius radio currently on Canadian models but will have them in when someone orders them in July.

 

While at the dealership last week, they finally had the brochures in... they list the Sat as STANDARD on the GTS with S/S pkg , but with a "*" stating available
"Fall 2007" - So I guess we Canucks are FUBAR until then... At which point I intened to make sure they get mine working!

 

Well Sirius should be able to help you though, I have never had to tell them my activation code, they were able to pull it up by the vin#. I've also heard that all GTS's are pre-wired for the SAT, even if you dont have the receiver, so thats why you could have gotten a error, there may not be a receiver in it. But if the brochure says available Fall 2007, then I would go by that or call Sirius back and ask them to pull it up by the vin#. If they don't pull anything, then I would go by the brochure.

 

Keep pressuring them. Make them find out. It IS their job, after all.
