if u want any kinda bass on ur compnents then u hafta adjust the HPF..mines just an on off switch for my amp for the components....but ur best bet would be get subs..then turn the hpf on so ur not getting bass through the components as this will help protect your speakers from blowing and distorting..even a pair of cheap 10s with like..a 200 watt amp will get much better bass then ull get outta ur 6 1/2"s that u have in the lancers

I'm getting pretty nice bass from my Kicker coaxials too. Nothing too crazy like I would get with subs but definitely nice.
