iPod Ice Link?
iPod Ice Link?
Alright, so I am brand new to this forum and I have been researching a lot on this whole ipod hookup for the new 2008 Lancers. I have a GTS myself, w/o the navi system, but I have the RF package.
I know there are RCA hookups behind the ashtray, but plain and simple, the suck. And I know you can buy that AUX cable from Mitsubishi to hookup to the headunit in the back. BUT I want something that can control the iPod through the stereo system. No looking down changing tracks, just using my steering wheel and headunit.
Now before you say this is impossible, it IS possible. Before I got my Lancer I stumbled upon a forum somewhere about someone who successfully hooked up either a DICE ipod integration or Denison Ice Link (cant remember). He was running his Iphone as his media player through his stock 2008 Lancer stereo! He was able to change tracks/pause etc. using the stereo. The only thing that it failed to do was have the track display.
Now being the idiot that I am, I totally didnt bookmark that page for later reference. I have no idea what model Ice Link or DICE he is using and how he did it. And I have been searching for ages for that site again.....ughhh....can anyone shed some light on this subject? IT IS POSSIBLE!!
