One more question, I swapped my HU and smk, and the HU is in the lower din. Do you guys think there is enough clearance for one of these HU's with lcds?

I don't think so if you have it in the bottom. If it fit it would probably be hard to see because you would need to tilt the screen up then your dash would be in the way. You could take it to a shop and get a second opinion but they would probaby say the same thing.

Thanks, I didnt think of that. Totally forgot that lcds are hard to look at if the position is not right. I guess I'll have to move on with my kenwood mp922 for now. Regretful I am for not dishing out a little extra for a lcd hu.. oh well

Another sugestion is that you could always go with a external unit in the visor or somthing that way you could have the best of both worlds, just an Idea though.

Headunit with the LCD Screen closed. The Clarion has a normal LCD on the top of the actual LCD screen that retracts back in its close position.

I've never had any problems with my deck skipping or anything. Most in car dvd palyers will NOT play burned movies mostly CHEAP dvd players you can put in your car will. like the ones that are 1 DIN size but not decks it's something they put in the DVD that makes it play or not quality stuff usually won't cheap stuff does. screw cheap stuff put a nice headunit in there and a X-BOX. The X-BOX plays burned DVD's and you can play games and all that good stuff. Good Luck

To my understanding the -R are the first gen DVD lasers the +R are the second Gen laser, Currently from the research that I have done only about 10% of DVD Players will play -R disks and about 80-90% of DVD Players are compatible with the +R burn style. If you look at the DVD Burners they have some that are +- and some that are just - or + compatible and you have to buy the - or + disks to run with them. Minus disks are cheaper and they have been around longer but plus will play on more machines and are more expensive, not by much though.
