08 GTS Factory Radio Power?

What is the power output on the factory radio with the six speakers? I want to switch out the speakers and add an alpine 12 type R with mono amp to factory radio. I just don't want to install a single din receiver into a double din slot and lose my bluetooth.

The power on the factory radio is going to be lacking by quite a bit if you put an amp that will actually push the Type-R like it is supposed to. You can find a nice aftermarket unit that has bluetooth if you really want to. The combinations are endless when you really get into replacing components in a sound system. You will have better results if you either, keep it stock, or replace everything.

As far as numbers go for output power, can't say exactly, but I am positive it is much less than they actually claim on the sticker.

yeah, i have a real nice headunit, the pioneer DEH7800-MP and the only thing it's missing is bluetooth. I almost bought the AVIC-D3 in dash, but just missed the $200 mail in rebate. So, I'm going to keep the radio stock for now.

Thanks for your input Never Satisfied

You may also look into getting an add-on bluetooth for the unit you have. Parrot makes some nice ones.
