Now that I've finished installing my Infinity Kappas for the fronts, there is a ton of space in the doors. You can hide anything in there! I just mounted my crossovers with double sided tape on the bottom of the door (inside it). The only thing that was a ***** was threading the wires through the rubber passage from the door to the car, without puncturing or taking shortcuts.
I'm thinking about getting these speakers as well. Let me know how they sound. BTW, I'm thinking of mounting the crossovers either in the door pockets, or under the passenger seat.
i put my crossovers inside the door.. they fit right there...behind the speaker =D doubleside tape it to the door inside and ur set to go.. my rears i just put them on the flat side (its a piece of white plastic on the sides =D)

If you haven't upgraded headunits yet, I recommend doing those first. They made a world of difference on stock speakers. Then I upgraded to infinite kappas, which a few other friends of mine have. Boy...it gets even better, as you can hear the frequency separation. These speakers gave it much more range in the frequency band, esp the high's. It is so clear!

With stock headunit and speakers, the system sounded like a $20 boombox or my alarm clock radio (ok, a little better than that)--but no range in sound quality. It sounded muddled.
After I put in my new Pioneer 5500MP, it allowed for better tweaking of the sound system, allowing more range in frequencies to be heard, including more bass and midrange. The stock speakers are made of paper, so they do a good job doing bass, which is about the only thing they're good for. By "world of difference," you will be able to tell the difference immediately. Makes you wanna listen to all your old cd's again just to see the difference, hehe.
With the new component 6.5 Kappas in the front, I was able to clearly hear the frequencies another step higher, especially the high's. I did lose some bass, since they are not 6X9's, but that's why I kept the rear speakers stock. I have no amp running to it though. I don't listen to my system loud all the time to want an amp. Yes, Infinite speakers need more power pushing to them compared to stock, since they put out more range of frequencies, and yes, my speakers do start cutting out (distorting) at high volumes. But overall, these speakers sound so clean.

Actually it distorts because its not getting enough power. My kappas, you can hear POPS or slight distortion even at lower volumes....Not enough power!!

Anyways, how is it that your speakers are distorting at lower volumes? If it is, either your connections aren't sound, or the cd/mp3 isn't recorded/ripped well.
