Hey guys, i wanted to replace my head unit for the Lancer and was wondering which kit is better. For some reason on this website the Scosche kit is Very CHEAP(12.99), but the main website its 59.99. I was wondering if its a crappy kit or something like that.

They probably both suck. I've seen that the Metra one wobbles around and fits like crap. Do some searching..

 

Scosche for sure. its a great kit and if you personally dont like it spending 20.00 total isnt that much. so give it a try ! scosche took alot of time to come out with this kit for a reason, either way its worth 20.00 to try it out

 

JDM dash-kit is the only way to go.

 

Isn't that like $400?

After all these additions some of you DE owners make it would have probably been a better value to just get the GTS or ES... lol

 

From what I've heard the scosche kit fits awesome and doesn't have that weird bulge in the top middle like the Metra kit.

The only part I don't like about the scosche kit is the overhang underneath, but I've been told that it's only a 1/2 inch.

There is also suppose to be a revised metra kit available at some point, or so I've been told. I hate the current POS, which is what I have in my X.
