If you REALLY wanna do SPL in a Lancer... get ready to put up a wall behind the front seats. You are gonna lose your rear seats and all your trunk space.

When you go for SPL, you wanna move as much air as you can in your car's cabin. The smaller the cabin, the less air there is to push around... thus the higher SPL levels will be. Also, you wanna run as many subs as possible. Three 10" subs can get you much higher SPL than one huge 18". Ported boxes are generally better for SPL competition as the subs dont have any pressure holding em from recoiling and pushing more air.

That's all the knowledge I can impart on you, go forth and blow away your competition... show them what the lancer is made of.

I agree with Iamkar33m. I had 3 15" L7's in my Horizon with a 26 cubic foot box in the 151-300 watt class. We hit a 162.2 at USAC Finals before the mic cable snapped and the dumbasses had no replacement so nobody could backup their record breaking runs. WTF they were thinking I don't know. I had a wall right behind the front seats and my port was 16 cubic feet. The only way you're gonna be able to compete with the rest of the people out there is with a wall. And as soon as you put in a wall you'll be in modified. There's no way you're gonna be able to hang with the hatchbacks that all run in the stock class with subs in the trunk. I competed in stock with my Probe before it was totaled so I know both classes.

I would go more for SoundQ in the Lancer unless you really wanted to gut your car. It may cost more, but spl can get expensive as well. At least with SQ your car will still look good and be able to be driven everyday. My 2 cents.

ok, but thats not what I asked.

I know all that i merely asked if anyone was doing it in there lancer and what they were hitting? I am doing a 148 right now with 2 12's in a ported box out of the trunk with the seats down. this was just a test run i took first in 0-150 at a local usaci show, this being said i have not even gained the amp yet, or bolted the box down and i know of a few other things i can do to get louder! I am going to try to be the loudest lancer in stock 0-150. I will be doing 150's before you know it but im not trying to go to extreme.

SO if anyone else is doing it let me know what your hitting.

Thanks Cody by the waty i have upgreaded my setup so what is ays i have in my signature is not what i am running anymore.

1badlancer, what frequency do you have your box tuned to? what kind of sound deadening or anything have you done to the car?
