Does Keyless entry still work with aftermarket stereo??
hey i have heard rumors that if i install an aftermarket cd player in my 2003 lancer OZ that it will make the keyless entry stop working, anyone know anything about this?

COUNTLESS members here have aftermarket cd players in their cars, including myself.
No worries at all.

absolutely not. if you add an aftermarket cd player your keyless entry will NOT stop working. again, no worries.

Yep. I have an aftermarket headunit and an alarm system with keyless entry, and my stock keyless entry clicker STILL works.

Mines actually messed up my dimmer function for the dash. I could surely fix it but I don't care.

Does there exist such a car so poorly wired as to tie the keyless entry system into the stock stereo? That'd be like power windows no longer functioning when using the spare tire.

complete lies..... we just installed an alpine screen/deck in my buddy's lancer, and everything is perfect. oh yeah i also installed a pioneer deck on my friend's girlfriends car, everything was perfect.

The keyless entry system works as a stand by alarm, what i mean as stand by is it does not stop a thief from stealing your car it just makes the thief break stuff!
