quick about grounds- what the other guy said was fine

I would just mount the amps on the back/side of the subwoofer box, they will be fine there, or at least one will if you cant fit both. or you can just put both on the back of the big half seat section (the "60" part of the 60/40 fold down). maybe put the sub amp on the sub box, and 4-channel amp on the back seat. also, mount your crossovers in the doors with the speakers......not in the trunk lol

for the fuses, just look at the amplifiers, find where all the fuses go (usually right near where power and ground goes) and total them all up for each amp to find out what fuse size goes to that amp, and total those 2 numbers up to get the in-line fuse rating in the 4 gauge. also, i highly suggest using ANL fuses, if you are running enough amperage lol

and i do know that the factory alternator in our cars is 120 amps, but why do you need that?

I was concerned with the total amps because I was reading crutchfields multi amp setup, and it was speaking of the reserve power on a alternator and how you find out the amperage your amps will pull...

As for mounting the crossovers in the doors, if you seen how big these crossovers are you'd laugh... they are the Infinity 6.1's with the big green crossovers....

I am looking on the back of the amp of the fosgate, and believe it or not there is not a fuse on the amp.... lol weird... but the alpine amp seems to have 4 20A fuses on it. Also the box is a sealed enclosure, would it be safe drilling into the back of that box?

nah, you dont need to be concerned with your alternator just yet. like i said before, i was running 1600 watts RMS on the stock alt and stock battery. what you can do though is upgrade the Big 3. if you dont know what it is, let me know.

those crossovers look like they can fit in the door. mine are pretty big and have PLENTY of room haha. on the back of the door panel (inside) there is a big foam piece....take that out and use good double sided foam tape and stick it in there, or take out the foam and use little bars mounted to the actual door to mount the crossover so the crossover fits into the door panel.

you are fine drilling into any box. if you want to be EXTRA careful, use 3/4" drywall screws so they dont go all the way through, but you will be fine. some amps you have to take off a panel to see the fuses, see if there is a panel thats removable that you can take off and find a fuse. i know RF does that with most of their amps. if that doesnt work, take the whole cover off the amp. I know Memphis amps have all the fuses actually INSIDE the amp. and that means you will need an 80 amp fuse dedicated to the alpine amp, and then add up the fuse ratings on the RF and thats the dedicated fuse size for that amp, then add both those numbers together for the main in-line fuse rating.

well, great i'll have everything here on the 02/23 i'll post pics with the finished product for now i'm gonna put a 80AUG on the lead line. if it blows, it blows and i'll up the load... I was told though that if the fuse turns black but does not blow, I'm pushing that fuse and I'll need to bump it up... so we'll see but i'm super excited.

the boys at radio shack was like pulling 43 amps on your 120 alt is gonna require the big 3 upgrade I was like nah it wont, but if it does we'll go down that road when I get there.. I don't think it will at all... if it does I'll just buy a cap heh

i would go ahead and use at least a 150 amp fuse in the main power wire for both of those amps

alright I'll have to purchase a ANL harness and the fuse, i looked and maybe I just suck, but I really do not see a fuse on this amp anywhere inside or out.

it says to use a 60 amp fuse for that amp. so 60 + 80 = 140 amp MAIN fuse, round to 150 and you will be good!

P300-1 right?

I tried finding an ignition wire behind the HU, and I thought I did, but for some reason when i actually had my amp hooked up to it, it stayed on when the car was off....
I literally made an account to say THANK YOU!
2 days of frustration, multiple people saying to splice into the old wires. get to this comment and BOOM.
THANKKKK YOUUUUUU
