Really? Cause it thats not what it sounded like to me. You definitely said that you could reach 130 db with dual 100w rms subs. The record is 180.5 db set with a Digital Designs 9918Z 18" subwoofer receiving 26,000 watts of power from four Stetsom 7KD amplifiers. Fifteen Powermaster 16 volt batteries were used as well. So MY point, was to say your full of it if you think your car comes any where near 130db with 200 watts rms. But if you want to continue to look like you know more then me so you can pawn off your cheap system onto on18s, go ahead cause I'm over this thread.

on18s, the best advice anyone can give you, is to read some reviews, try to test out the subs in person (like other cars or sound walls whatever you can do) and then decide on what you think is the best for your situation. After you've chosen what you want, then look at amps that MATCH the rms rating. Once you have the subs and amp take it a shop and they will worry about the rest.

did you not hear what I said about how much systems can cost? my friend spent about $2,000 MORE than I did to get 5 db more than me. so if i wanted to hit 180 db like the guy with the DD, and gain only 50 db (from what I have now), you are saying id have to spend about.....$20,000 or so? what im saying is, you have to spend A LOT to gain just a few decibels, so losing a few decibels = a lot LESS money. more proof: my kicker L7s, 1600 watt amp, and custom box (built to kicker spec for maximum SPL) cost me about $800, and I made 135.7 db. this system I have now, worth about $500 new, can probably hit 5.7 decibels less than my previous system. steve meade ALSO has over 20,000 watts total system power, but i dont see him holding any world records. why? it depends on the vehicle, equipment, box design, etc. you are a moron if you think loudness depends solely on wattage numbers. you must not know what good quality subs and amps can do. look up the Memphis Street Edge subwoofers, and tell me they arent 100 watts RMS each, then look at my video on youtube (which doesnt do them justice, my cam is over 3 years old) and tell me its not loud. while youre at it, take a look at my other vids of my L7 system and watch the video of them hitting 135.7

im not trying to "pawn off" my system to the guy. the total system is worth about $500, how is selling it for $250 scamming him?

Yea man will do that pretty much, with those kenwoods theres a guy that can build me a custom ported box for 120 or I can buy a normal sealed box for like 50.

I am going to get now the 2 p300-1 Amps.
Then once I have some more money Ill buy 2 w3011s or w3012s and the box and have someone install it.

ALSO: More importantly I want to thank you guys out, guys have been a big help to me believe it or not. For sure I know I would have gotten a way worse system if it wasnt for you two. I am not getting the best system ever but I have heard my friends on 200 watts RMS and I think 600 RMS is more than enough for me... at least for the moment.

Anyways got an update for you guys, yesterday I decided Fck it Ima buy everything rocksford.

And to my surprise I go to craigslist and see 2 12" p3s (the older model) in a box for $70 bucks.
So I might get those, their rated at 500RMS each but yea Im still probably gonna get the 2 300 watt RMS RF amps.

And Ima sell my 2 10" and the amp for 120 bucks tomorrow, which with that I have enough money to buy the 2 amps, then save up next paycheck and get the wires I need and get it installed.

ANYWAYS!!!!!! Go big or go home. Im broke right now but that didnt stop me.

Heres the system that I am buying now

I am buying these subs as soon as I have money for $220

The same guy that is selling me those subs sold me this today for $230
Its a Rockford FosgateP1000-1bd amp (HEAVY AS FCK)

Thats me outside my lancer.

In total its costing me $450

I do not know if the subs will fit in the lancer! They are 2 15 inch Rockford Fosgate HX2, can anyone confirm if these will fit in the car, or should I not even bother and just buy 2 12s

EDIT: The guy told me the box is 3 ft wide, 18 inched long and 16 inches high. Will it fit?

ALSO: Would this amp be good to push 2 12" Subs in case I dont get the 15s?
Cuz, Im scared... of da 15s!
His cars windshield is all cracked... I can get the same subs but 12" for like $100 bucks less should I get 12s instead? GIMME SOME OPINIONS HERE! I dont know what to do.

i dont think that box will fit, the widest you can go with a 16" high box is a think less than 30" because the edges around the pass through in the trunk slant down, its not just a right angle. i wouldnt worry about the subs damaging your car, mine never got damaged with the L7s, but there was rattle everywhere haha it can push 12s fine as long as the subs are rated for the same wattage

i told you dude, my entire system for $250, i can build you a new smaller box if you would like, or not include the box and sell the subs and amp for cheaper!

2 15s!!! R u crazy...
I took it to my local shop today and ran new 4 gauge wiring to the amp and all NEW cables and a big Memphis Fuse and the guy did it all for 80 bucks. Anyways I still dont have the subs, so I hook it up to my friends 2 12s in a sealed box, he has 1 audiobahn, and 1 sub that doesnt even have a brand...
Crappy as heck, but anyways the shop owner tuned at the shop, but it was tuned to kill people!!!

My friend and I put the Gain to 1 and the punch eq very low too.
This amp drives his subs like they have never been pushed before.
The whole car shakes like crazy with volume 15/45 and the bass at 0 (goes from -6 - +6) We heard one song by lil john and I came out of there with a headache. As soon as I buy my subs I am going to put a video up! I have no subs in my car now just the wires laying around(taped).

So far it has cost me: amp $230
All new wires/professional installation: $80
Subs(dont have them yet): around $150 in a box (2 punch hx2s)

total of ~460 bucks. I definitely think this will sound much better than the 2 kenwoods I wanted to get...

EDIT: 6 hours later, still have a headache... CANT WAIT TO GET MY SUBS!!!!
