i have that alarm.. the one with the lcd display.. for some reason when i auto start my car it turns on and then like 5 seconds later it shuts off... does this happen to anyone? i was wondering if its b/c my remote battery was low

 

not your remote. Did you have a professional install it? If so take it back to them. If not how long have you had it and did it work before?

 

alright thanks a lot! ... i got it professionally installed.. i had it since the start of sept. .. it only happened twice..

 

yeah it has happened to me...when u remote start it, the car turns on but if u happen to unlock it with the remote and don't put in the key to ON than it will turn off.....that's what happens to me

 

the alarm dont has probles its only the programation of the alarm. need more time on the remote start they come with many time of the engine run.

 

Get the tach reference reprogrammed.

 

I know on the remote start of my python in my yukon I have, if the trucks alarm is not on then it will start and then shut off, but if the alarm is on then it will start and stay started. Took me while to realize that, still not sure if that is the absolute case, I dont use th remot start that much. Do the alarms have a safety feature that will prevent them from being on if the car is no locked. ?????

 

Go back to the shop that installed it and make them connect the OEM disarm lead. You shouldn't have to disarm first. That's installer error.
