hey guys, I just got a sirius radio for xmas. And I just installed the antenna on the rear roof. I just wanted to ask whats the best way to wire it? because currently I am going down the molding and along the trunk into the holes where the taillight wires go. It works good but i just want to know how other people wired theirs that are on the roof?

I put mine on the trunk lid, looked smooth, ran wire all the way to the deck.

 

Best way to go from the roof is remove the stock antenna, run the wire where the stock antenna wire went. It goes above the roofliner to the driverside A pillar down the pillar behind the gauge cluster and to the center dash console.

but how did you get it into the trunk?

 

Just put it in the back dash.

 

I mounted mine on the trunk behind the center peice of the spoiler ill post a pic later when i get off work

 

I mounted mine on the trunk lid as well. Looks good there!

 

It also work good on the rear deck until you tint. Well thats if you go as far as I did 5%.

I put mine on the trunk, right in the center of it about 4 inches in front of the center pillar for the spoiler. I don't get a signal from it at all. All I get on my head unit is "Acquiring Signal"

Do you guys with it on the trunk, or rear deck for that matter, get a good signal?

I want to get a subscription but so far I can't get a steady signal.

 

thats because you have to call sirius and have them resend the signal to your unit using the esn number on the box for the receiver. and have it parked outside with a clear view of the sky for about an hour usually. try to just have them reshoot ya a signal should work fine thats exactly where mines mounted and it works like a champ check my profile if youd like to see it and make sure its in the same place bro goodluck.
