my new audio system
OK, I just picked up my car from Sound Dimensions in Syosset, NY. Let me tell first off these guys are amazing! I was so impressed with their work. If you are in the area I recommend going here first. Ok, now I have the CF A-Pillars and as some of you know that tweet hole is quite obtuse. So to my surprise when I got back in my car, The tweeters had sweet black fabric over them, and the guys professionally mounted my pillars.
The system they installed included: Kenwood Excelon Components [front], Excelon Coaxials [Rear], and an Excelon Head Unit.
Let me tell you, CLARITY? Kenwood defines it! This is by far one of the most impressive sound system I have heard in a car. The volume isnt even cranked and my ears hurt. Theres bass, mid, and treb, and I dont even have any maxed out (cracking). Keep in mind they have not been broken in yet, I just got the car. When the guy was adjusting levels, he had the bass low. I was kind of disappointed as I didn't really want a sub. When I put the bass level up 2 notches, OMG. Metal never felt so good.
So in short. I have been in cars with infinitys, alpines, pioneers, etc etc. The new Kenwood Excelon BLOWS ME AWAY. The face is sick and has every option you could need. I hope this helps anybody who is looking to upgrade.
When it was all said and done, I paid $950 flat for all of that installed. Good price I think considering the deck runs around 400+.
