The thing here, is your amp is HUGE. If you want 2 subs in there, that means 2 amps. 2 amps like that probably won't fit in that false floor. Unless you put them in some sort of diagonal.

If you go 2 subs, you might want to take the exact same setup with some modification to it. \|/

2 subs on that back wall. Because you've got plenty of space to put 2 subs back there. The box seems fairly small, so 2 of them should fit.

Then the amps. As stated before, they are HUGE. So you might want to keep 1 where it is right now. The second amp could go on the trunk lid. With some fiberglass work, you could make it look pretty sharp. That or you might want to put both amps on the trunk lid. Sort of like Zooracer did with his tv screen.

Nice looking setup by the way

Yeah the sub by itself is a heavy *** ****... It has a custom magnet attached to it to give it an extra oomph.

Just curious what do you guys think about mixing sizes? Like having one 12" sub and two 10" subs?

As for the weight issue ill just stick a couple of bricks in the engine bay and tell people my car is lowered...

i like that amp...didnt realize it was that big but it looks great you should hide it completly maybe use the flames to go with the compartment....
my car hasnt lowered that much with mine in the back, and i have 2 12's and the big amp... doesnt leave much trunck space! but who needs a trunck anyway huh?

I do But that's why I designed my setup to take as little space as possible.

I think your setup is looking good, but I would suggest a set up much like the one I built for my friend's Galant. He has 2 L7's, and two HUGE kicker amps! What I did was I built him an amp rack in the shape of a Right triangle that fit flush against his left rear wheel well. I built a custom enclosure with a fiberglass cover to enclose his Capacitor in the space in the rear right wheel well. Then I built a wall exactly like yours with the two L7's mounted in it. I mounted his amps one over the other, but on a 45 degree angle and so that all controls could still be accessed. I think his setup looks hot, the only thing is that he was drawing so much power we had to go get an Optima Yellow Top and he had to buy a new alternator lol. But everything went smoothly, and his system is insanely loud, the only problem we ran into was installing his Kicker 6x9's because his torsion bar had to be removed. Still trying to find a way to reinstall it with no problems.

All of this was done after extensively Dynamatting his trunk..... Only thing I was extremely upset about was that he wanted to keep his spare tire in the trunk. This adds more weight and is impoissible to get out without taking out all of his system, but if you're getting rid of your spare, there's a lot of extra space to build a great set up!

I work so hard on my friend's cars, yet I don't even have a custom set up myself . Go figure lol, I just drilled my amp and cap to the back of my seat, and have two 12's and components. Good Luck, your set up is looking great, and no matter what it will look awsome.

What you suggested about doing different size subs, I have heard it in a few cars, my friend has one 12 and 2 10's in his Camry, but it just doesn't sound right unless it is installed in a Hatchback in my opinion. Just my .02, keep us posted.....

You can get away with running multiple size subwoofers if you run a fully active XO, but it never really comes out sounding quite right. If you wanted to run a nice sub/mid/mid/tw setup, I'd suggest putting some 8's in pods in the doors.

Let your sub do its job, and only its job. 80hz and below. Some would suggest a point even lower, like 70hz. If you're running another pair of bass drivers, I'd suggest points around 75hz, 125hz, and wherever the natural XO point of whichever mids and tweets you were running decided to drop itself.

Honeslty, I don't think you need more than the single sub you've got right now. With that, and some work on the front stage, you can make a vechicle that sounds good enough to bump in an SQL comp, but still romp in the SPL lanes. Of course, it all depends on what you're doing with it.

If you do decide to run other subs, use seperate airspaces. Don't put them in a common box with the 15.

That looks about the same as mine for the wheelgap. I have two 12" Alpine Type R's but it sure adds a lot of weight to it. I plan to fiberglass them into the back corners when I have a chance and when the weather improves.

Your setup looks great so far though.
