how much does it cost to make a fiberglass box where your spare is? I took out my box, i have 2 12 type r's. and i felt a noticable difference int eh way the car handled with out in there. mdf is heavy.

Well I got bored and decided to juice up my amp a bit...

Here are pix of the surgery before and after:

The patient...

Impossible to open the amp up? I think not!

Success! She's open doc!

Overhead view of the amp's internals... hard to believe it weighs so much

The powerplants

After surgery... she's recovering in post-op.

For those of you who dont see how small my box is (1.5 CuFT) here is a pic of whats behind the sheet of MDF:

well, i've never seen inside of an audiobahn amp...that's a good amp...that's definately a good amp...

See how the caps and the power supply and the processing is spread out? Good tonal accuracy, channel seperation and most of all, noise control.

Yeah, Audiobahn is a pretty damn good brand. Only reason people knock it is cuz they thing it's just a bling bling company that sells chrome ****. I just benchmarked the amp after my modifications and man did it pass with flying colors... it hits a bit harder and I also eliminated a few more rattles.

Nice! You know what they say... more subs = higher SPL (more air being moved by the cone).

Yeah.......my friends shop just picked up Audiobahn too - it'll probably be a big seller, cause people will look for appearance. The Treo's are MONSTERS.........maybe my car will fall apart, lol. My system idea consists of **possibly** taking out my backseat

A friend of mine has a lancer with his rear doors welded shut and shaved and he has a "wall" up behind the driver and passenger seat holding twelve 12" MTX 9500 subs. His whole trunk and rear seats is the box for those subs. God only knows where he put his amps (prolly in the trunk). All his windows are 1/2" thick Lexan, no glass whatsoever. He's a mother****ing crazy *** dude.

Me and a friend soldered in 4 more transistors that I had laying around from my dad's custom home theater system setup so that we get some more juice coming out of the amp.

i bet ya if you changed that 8AWG line inside the amp to 4 AWG, you'd get an extra .5 db

Nice job, dude...as per your PM, I just gutted the RF system...got a new job, so i'll be able to afford a 12W7, a JL 100/1, a Zapco !200 for my mids, a JL XR 6.5 sep's, and an RF top of the line deck (just so people will stfu about RF decks being "crap")

so...i'll have to do a step-by-step posting on here when i get the gear (prolly pretty soon, im dying with only a 10" in there now)
