The wood is 3/4 inch MDF. It's not too spendy. The carpet is typical trunk liner. You can get it at abotu any fabric store. and use good spray glue it will pay off not thwe walmart stuff get it at a fabric store or somewhere like that. The MDF is about 30 bucks a sheet. get mroe than you think youll need you'll need extra trust me

Hey, is there anything lighter and durable that i can use for that amp rack instead of that MDF? I want to do a setup kinda like yours but with fiberglass over the amp so i can still use the trunk as a trunk and not have to worry about it cracking.

Nice looking setup. I want to do something similar to that because right now I have no trunk space. I want to design something that I can still get at my spare tire if I need it.

I just need help working out the smallest dimensions that my box can be so it still sounds good.

as far as lighter and strong for an amp rack deffinately if you have the cash and the time to do it. I wanted to do it as well just dont have the patience LOL. I would use plexiglass all day long. Youc an cut it shape it with a heat gun its amazing how much you can do with it. If ya need anymore ideas lemme know ill try to come up with more.
