Need help hooking up iPOD!
I ordered the CA-C1AUX aux input from Crutchfield - sorry to say it does not work. It's a 13 pin din plug on one end - 2 RCA plugs on the other...I hooked up another adapter from the RCA plugs to the mini plug into the iPod. While the din plug does fit into the stock HU CD changer port, the pin assignments must be off. I tried a few options.....no luck.
I submitted a request to autotoys.com (they sell aux input adapters for Audi, BMW, etc...) - I received a response that they should have something available for our stock HU in "3-4 weeks". Here's hoping that they come through. When posted, it should be in the 'OEM Factory' section on their site....see link below.

Just found this a few minutes ago when someone asked me about the iPod in my car.

There is another solution for the iPod coming on the horizon. Alpine is coming out with an AiNet unit that will let you control the iPod from the head unit.

I know I am waiting for this one. It's supposed to be out in the fall.

there is another company that makes cd changer aux connectors but for the life of me i cannot remember there name
try blitzsafe
or this link, its volvo related but may give u some insight

best of luck
also i was thinking, that changer connector u bought from crutchfield...u can make it work if u need the pin out of our changer...then u could just cut that one and redo the wiring
i have done the same thing with my previous volvo but the changer output was only 6 pin...much easier...actually it was an amp output
some of the wires may be unnnecessary since they probably control song and CD advance, u just need the power, ground, and sound/signal wire
