Anybody have the factory radio unlock codes for a 2002 Lancer ?

Every car is different. MITSU can give you the code to your car if you have the VIN and or the radio serial number.

 

i didnt know mitsu had radio lock codes...

if they do, mine sure doesnt

 

That baffles me too. How do they get locked? By removing the radio from the car? Unplugged the battrery dozens of times and mine never locked. Now my old Trans Am, all you had to do was press the mute button on the steering wheel controls... too bad the steering wheel controls had a short in them. grrrrrrrrrrr

 

yea i unplugged my battery a crapload of times and took out the radio twice.. mine never locked..

but i know with honda/acura cars, the minute you reset the ecu, you gotta unlock the radio when you start the car again..

 

my sisters 98 pontiac grandam has a radio lock code...

i just replaced the radio in my car cuz the lancer radio isn't that hott....but its aight.

oh well. haha i replaced the radio like 3 days after i got my car

 

what do you mean it locks like you cant use it? i never saw this feature lol

 

My wifes 2001 Montero does this. The dealer should have gave you a card with your owners manual with the code. If you can't find it I would ask the dealer.

 

Maybe your stock headunit is broken? checka fuse. or does it say locked or code lol never heard of it maybe its also unplugged :-x dependin on what u respond wit but ya call mitsu up they help ya out better
