i have always based quality in comparison to home audio. there are very few high end systems that sound as good as high end home audio systems. a car just doesn't have enuff space for proper dispersion nor the acoustic properties of say a home theater room or studio. if i could only fit these in my car...

You just have to hang out with the right people I have been in many cars that I enjoy more than home audio. Some of that has to do with the environment and joy of being behind the wheel. Steve Brown's M3 was a blast and he drove it to most shows. Studio and car both use near field drivers, Earl Zausmers BMW was one of the best cars I ever heard wth Matrix 801's in it.

I'd like to see how that would sound with the B&W 8's instead of the 15....

I absolutely love how the B&W FST Drivers sound. Although I never heard Earl's car, I listen to B&W 804's regularly...

The original 5 sereis with the 13, 4 tweet was the best, the 15,6, tweet was very in your face, the listening position was the tip of your nose.
