Scratching my head. Stereo issues
After telling my girlfriend not to go to a car detailing place. She went anyway. sigh....
So she brought the car back and said, see look they did a good job. LOL so I get in the car, and drive around. As she tossed me the keys, she said, "Hey can you look into the stereo, its acting funny." I shrugged my shoulders and started driving the car. When I turned on the stereo, they static sound was overwhelming and almost made me jump out of my seat. Basically sounding like static noise at volume 45. Event though it was at 0.
WTF? I tried to work it out in my head. Did my stereo just quit on me. Did it just die?? After about 3 days of testing the battery and looking for any other causes before I rip a part the stereo. It finally came to me.
See... I have been putting stuff on the floor in my car for the past few days and noticing its getting my stuff wet. Even turned a thick cardboard box soggy.
Then it hit me!!! the frigging wires must have gotten soaked. Fu*#*@g awesome!!!
So where does that leave me....
If its a wire that is grounded because of water. Thats kinda bad! if its soaked into a wire it will likely not evaporate. I am have to yank some wires.
Thank you Girlfriend, for doing what I told you not to do

1000 points!!!

Do you have the OEM Rockford Fosgate unit? If so, I would suggest removing the driver's seat (this just makes it easier), and taking a look at the amp and connections there. They sit pretty low, and tuck under the carpet there. It is possible in the apparent hosing down of your car, they killed the RF amp. If that is the case, PM me, I might be able to help.

I am going to figure out what is going on with the car, the fact that the car is still wet. So we will bring it by there and see what they say. That said, I am very particular with who touches the car.... So I will probably stand over the shoulder the whole time.
Yeah... They probably fried your amp. Best thing you can do is pull it out and take the lid off it to see how bad the damage is. You might just be able to clean up the board a little bit and let it dry out and it'll start working again.
Don't worry about warranty, it won't be covered because it's the cleaners that did it. Unless you have some cool insurance policy anyway...
Worse case, you'll probably have to buy ^guy's amp.
