Playstation 2 in car

I was thinking about putting my PS2 in my car, mainly because Im not home enough to play it. My ? is what kind of screens would everyone recomend for the lancer. Ive never had any experience with car stereos so Im looking for best quality for the price. Another question is would it be reasonable to have a custom box built under one of the seats for the PS2 and about how much would something like that cost?

i have 2 friends that have put PS2s in their cars, one is a saturn that has the PS2 put in the passenger side dash, he removed the airbag and put it in there, he has an alpine flip out up hooked up to it, my other buddy has his in his malibu, it is mounted under the passenger dash, and has a kenwood flip out hooked up to it. i think the saturns cost about 300 to install it cuz he had some stuff custom molded for it, im not sure about the cost of the malibu

well if you dont have the skill to play games and drive at the same time you can always pop in a porno DVD and watch that while driving, thats what me and my buddies do, one time we pulled up next to this car with this mom and daughter and they were lookin at the tvs cuz hes got 2 in the back headrest too, and then they saw it was a porno so they rolled their window up, it was so funny

Well i got a ps2 in my delorean with a clarion touch screen and custom enclosure. I mean it looks good. For my setup it came out to like 3g's but thats with like 6 speakers & subs all custom enclosure. It all depends on how nice you want it to look. And how easy it is to do the install. Get some price quotes from some shops, thas the best way to find out if its worth it.

will post pics if you want

Im thinking about putting the PS2 under the passenger seat and runnning the wires under the carpet. but I want to get a good screen, something that will look bad for things other than the ps2

under the passenger seat isn't a good place to it. it can get damaged to easily. a better place would be in the trunk. like mount it on the back of the seat. the one with the small folding part, not the big one and just run controller extension cords under the seat. so it look clean, the ps2 is a lil bit easier to get to and, it doesn't get damaged

i'm thinkin about ding this too..but im just curious to find out whether or not the ps2 can fit in the glove compartment. to me, that seems to be the most reasonable and safe place. then you could place the controllers under the seats n stuff. maybe get a flip-out in dash lcd screen. hook that baby up and your set.

Yeah I would be set if it fit in the glove comparment. I am also thinking about putting it under the passagner side seat and running cords under the carpet and into the glove compartent so no one can tell I have it. The problem I have with putting it in the trunk is that my amp rack is taking up all that space anyways and my subs would make the PS2 Skip so that wouldnt work.

well about putting a PS2 in your car.......its a cool, fun idea, but the PS2 is not developed for heat temperatures that a car brings in. just a lil tip if u really are considering this. the PS2 wont last as long with the heat pounding on it everyday.
