i have an alpine indash lcd screen with cd player. i bring my ps2 for long trips or when we are all parked so that we can play, but this way it is easily removed to take back home and play on my HD screen!! i think this is a much beter idea then mounting your ps2 in the car so that it will never get stolen and you have the versatility to play it at home (if you're ever there!). i also have a 2-way pager alarm in case someone gets any ideas about jacking my stuff. so basically i think you should go for it!

or you can get a second set of cables for your ps2 and mount those in there and make a removable ps2 area for your car. that way all you have to do is carry out the ps2 and plug it in to the cables that are already there and you are good to go.

For my setup it came out to like 3g's but thats with like 6 speakers & subs all custom enclosure. It all depends on how nice you want it to look. And how easy it is to do the install. Get some price quotes from some shops, thas the best way to find out if its worth it.

will post pics if you want
Could you post the picture of your delorean and the clarion touch screen? I am in NYC, am interested in getting my evo setup with Clarion 935vd. Any known reliable shops that really do good custom jobs with fair pricing?

Look forward in seeing your setup w/ the Delorean...

Get a Dreamcast. Rather small, less than $40, and it has great games. Playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2 while stuck in traffic would kick ***.

Thumbs up

I just got done puttin a ps2 in my lancer.. I mounted it under the seat.. hooked it up to a power inverter and then hard wired it into the car and ignition switch... Works great.. doesn't skip at all..(I had a spare ps2 layin around) but I used a LCD flip down screen. It tilts but my only complaint is since it's a LCD the wider you go out from direct view of the screen the harder it is to see.. but that's not to bad since the driver can't really watch anyway.

I'll post pics for anyone who's interested. Or put up how to if enough people ask...

I have always..ALWAYS...be wondering...
why would ppl put TV/PS2 in their cars??
your car aint no cab, u aint eating, sleeping, peeing, sh*tting, boning your b*tch (or maybe you do?)or living in the car..why put sth that you wont even be able to enjoy while driving??

Not critizing those who thinks it's a good idea, you have your reasons

Just something I'll never do until I'll have kids...
(which will probably be years later when game systems come standard)

i was going to do it but i thought about the temp also, in here in panama we get 90 farenheit weather so imagine that.. im still gonna do it but in a way that it can be removed and installed easily

i didnt read all of the posts, so im not sure if his has been done, but heres what i did.

I have an alpine in dash, and i have a seperate dvd player hooked to it which is mounted in the glove box. But in the middle of them, (wiring wise) i have a a/v selector from radio shack ($15). With this, i have an extra set of a/v inputs, so i can hook an xbox, ps2, camera, or anything else my mind can think of at anytime i want.

http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=15%2D1952

thats the on i have, the it has 2 inputs, one is hooked to the dvd player, and the second is open for whatever i want to put with it.

I put my PS2 under the passenger seat of my OZ and it fits nice and snug. I think it is a great spot for it. I thought it was kinda tacky to use a controller that sticks out of the passenger seat if I want to watch DVD's, so I bought a controller extention cable and the PS2 remote control. Then I ran the cable through the back of the dash and custom mounted the sensor into my dash. It works awesome!

Also, if you are like me and want to do this setup and don,t have too much cash to do it. You can find a cheap stand alone screen from ebay or something (I got a steal on one for $50) and build your own pull out screen by removing the panel under the heat controls and customizing a new panel. I built mine out of fiberglass, it was very time consuming, but that panel now holds the pull out screen, my XM satelite controls, my Fosgate bass boost control, and the PS2 remote sensor. I will try and post pictures of it if I remember, or if anyone is interested they can pm me.

One last thing, if you want to get extra cables to move it from the house to the car easily, you can just pick up the PS2 monster cables from any media store.
