Angry AF Gauge questions

I just installed an autometer af gauge. Used the o2 wire from pin # 76, the white wire on the ecu harness. When i drive around and just coast, without pressing the throttle, the af gauge drops to the bottom of lean, and then goes off...no lights at all. When i come to a stop it jumps up and stays at the highest point of rich.. When on the throttle while moving, it bounces around like crazy between lean and rich, never staying at one point...Is this normal?? The only time i get a constant reading from it is when i floor it, probably when it's in open loop...Oh by the way my mods are AEM cai, RRM headers, custom catback 2.25", and RRM piggy V2. Thanks in advance

that's normal for a narrow band o2 gauge/sensor

Pics of gauge pod

This was my first time making any type of pillar so the quality isn't professional. I put the gauges up a little higher cuz i'm a tall guy and i wanted them to be at eye level...I used an Autometer dual gauge pod for a mustang(don't remember the year) and i trimmed it so it would fit a bit closer. Then a single layer of fiberglass cloth followed by around 2 to 3 layers of resin. Then i painted it with a glossy black...any opinions welcome.
