Dyno results from this weekend

Dyno results from this weekend at Mynes on the Mustang Dyno:

K&N CAI (with a pretty dirty filter), RRM Header, RRM V1 Piggypack, NGK sparkplugs:
120WHP
120WTQ

Removed the Piggyback and then Jason tuned the factory ECU:
119WHP
118WTQ

The numbers after that just dropped steadily because the car was heating up and was also leaking oil. The idle got alot better and the top end maintained a better A/F ratio. For some reason when the factory ECU was set to let the rev limit go to 7K it worked when the Piggyback was on, but then sending the same code without the Piggyback it would still kick in at 6200. I might end up putting an exhaust system on it to see if that helps, it will probably bring up the HP and decrease the TQ numbers. I still have to search the forums for the best dyno results with a header back system, even though I have had a hard time find one.

[Edit] Mynes located in Mesa, AZ though my tag says Indianapolis

really nice numbers on a mustang dyno!

what did he use to retune the factory ecu? is it capable of tuning ignition timing?

Either ECUTec or ECUFlash, and yes I believe he adjusted timing but I'll ask him next time I see him

*jaw on floor*

Wowzers. Great numbers on a Mustang. My car pulled 93 whp with MORE mods (but no piggy). Nice to see someone getting a Lancer flashed. I couldn't find any local tuners willing to do it.

I don't know if it was saved or not, if it was then I'll get copies, if not then I'll just have to put some more mods on and go back

Alright, it was tuned with ECUFlash (I didn't know ECUTek didn't support the base Lancers) and here is the graph, numbers are just a little bit low because this is a map that was saved probably 10+ runs later than the first run we did that got the higher numbers.

the ones i really wanna see are the 120hp/120tq with piggy, and the 119hp/118tq with EcuFlash.

Whats interesting is the off the shelf map on the RRM piggy was making more power than the custom tuned ECUFlash.

I'll see if they have those original graphs still, I think the overall power was probably about the same but the numbers dropped steadily because the car was heating up and leaking oil. There were probably about five pulls at the beginning, before the PB was taken off, trying to get the rev limit at 7k. Then the PB was removed and it was at 119/118. The tuning was also mostly done to the fuel maps because with the PB the A/F ratio was running extremely lean on the high end and wasn't producing very much power at all and the idle was horrible. With Jason's tune the A/F ratio holds and feels alot better, the power doesn't drop off so bad, and the idle is great.

thats a nice flat TQ curve. thats a nice amountof power for those mods, especially on a mustang dyno. most people don't even make that much with those mods on a dynojet.

hmm nakes me wonder what my car is putting out

Those are some very good numbers for the mods you have. I am even more impressed, because the runs were done on a Mustang Dyno.

oh and did you make any pulls without the piggy before retuning to see the difference without it on stock ECU?

The pulls were done in second gear. Here is the first pull with the PB, I can't get the pull that shows 119whp/118wtq on Jason's tune without the PB but there were plenty of people at Mynes that night that can verify it happened.
