RPW Haltech Plug and Play Package finished
For those interested RPW has jst finished testing of our Haltech plug and play systems on the 2.0 lancer vehicles.
Brought a car in, unplug factory harness, plugged in haltech, turn key and vehicle runs, ready for dyno.
You can retain the factory MAF sensor or replace it with a external air temp unit as well for those wanting to get rid of the restriction.
This suits the 2.0 manuel model lancers only not auto's.
The system comes with a baseline tune (Very very rough) for turbo and non turbo people with
preset ignition maps
coolant maps
cold start maps
air temp maps
Closed loop O2 control
The emanage comes with an onboard 2.5 BAR map sensor so you just need to feed a vacuem line to it. WIll control air conditioning, idle speed and boost control (Already built in and preset to 14 psi max). Boost control solenoid is extra to the kit.
Anyone interested feel free to contact RPW about these. These retail for $1350.00 AUD$ and will be available from any of our resellers.

We didn't dyno this particular car we simply hooked it up and made sure the vehicle would run, cold start and idle so that the purchaser can then take it to a dyno and be able to tune it straight away.
This system allows you unlimited control over every facet of the engine managment system and some extra's on top of that.

Not that this effects me as i have an evo, but it is confusing, the title lists haltech and inside the thread it mentions emanage..
As far as i remember the haltech E6X & E11 do not support MAFs. So i assume this has nothing to do with haltech?

They added maf support? thats cool.
How do you get around controling the alternator? do you leave the stock ECU in to control it? I thought the EVO's alternator was ecu controlled which made it hard to do a standalone.
feel free to pm me since this is off-topic.
Thanks,
-Zach

I am not 100% certain on that other than the fact the haltechs have confirmed there systems are plug and play for the whole range of EVO model vehicles. I am sure they have it somewhere in the wiring / software for control.
There is MAF support, but ultimatly the plan is to use a Haltech 3 BAR map sensor and remove the MAF unit (Only involves fitting the haltech supplied external harness through the firewall) and you are ready to go with the evo model vehicles.
