Road/Race Piggy-Back Evaluation
RIght the Lancer piggys were made just for us. We paid for the hardware to be developed and we pretuned then so yes you will not find it on split site. With the software it is expandable for sure but the base tune is quite effecient for basic modded Lancers.

I got the piggy back in aug. and sence then I have put on alot of miles. I have over 20,000 mi on the car now. I have gotten better gas millage and more performance. For three months I was working in EL Paso TX. Drove from Hesperia to Texas 6 times (785 mi one way) I averaged 29.7 mpg. Sence I have been back in Cali. (driving 80 mi a day to work and back) my millage has gone up to 32 mpg. I don't use the gauge on the dash, I use how much fuel I put in to how many miles I drove. I love the piggy. I requmend that anyone that wants to increase fuel millage and a little performance get the Road///Race Motorsports Piggy.

has any one tried using the software to program your piggy. if so how did it go and what kind of cable would be used to connect. ive installed my piggy, i guess its working since i have no CEL or any problems while driving. i might seen a slight increase in MPG. just seeing if me programing it my self i can get better results.
As said, you probably wouldn't be able to improve it much. You could probably optimize it for your exact car and mods, but you most likely would see much in the way of MPG gains. You'd just have the AFRs exactly how you want them, etc.
Get some dyno time, fill up with 93, and experiment. Running the higher octane should just let you tune more aggressively without the car knocking. It's just going to take some fiddling until you get the car running a nice mix of aggressive & safe.
93 will not do anything except empty your wallet faster.... IF you tune then you want a wideband though or go to a proper dyno that actually knows the software. Some well know tuners on these boards kinda blew it ona dudes cars. They know who. Don't ask me.

Just installed my Piggy on my CVT FED. I must say that I was a little skeptical about this mod, but I had money from tax refunds to try it out. This is the best mod I have seen on a N/A motor. Not only did it increase performance, it improved gas milage, and it actually seemed to make the car run better. I always had a lot of lifter (im guessing) noise since I bought the car, but this seemed to quiet it a lot. Not sure why, if anyone could explain this I would be interested. Made the car a lot more responsive. This is the way this car should have been tuned from the factory.
It is definitely worth the money. If you are going to do anything to your lancer put this on the top of your list.
Great Job RRM. Keep up the good work.
