Definition Problems with ECUFlash

First time ECUFlash user here naturally. I updated my ECUFlash with all the definitions from the master definition list. Dumped the master list into the rommetadata/lancer folder. When I open up ECUFlash, I select the 2001-2005 Mitsubishi 3rd Gen/EVO7-8 option (I don't see any lancer options or what not). ECUFlash reads my Rom no worries and brings up all the data. It loads up the Definition for an 03 OZ Rally with a manual transmission. One thing though, my Lancer is an 03 ES with an Auto Transmission. Any ideas? I've browsed through dozens of pages regarding ECUFlash and didn't get where I needed to go.

Same here 03 es but im manual mine looks just like link62. Kinda confused on what your asking? All the data comes up and correct? Are you just worried because the rom info reads manual trans?

Pretty much, my computer connects to the ECU like normal (Or what I think is normal), but when it pulls up the ROM, all the Parameters come up, except everything is blank. I can't edit nor look up anything. When I check the ROM info, it pretty much says it loaded the 03 OZ MT Definition. It's weird. EVOScan works perfectly fine.

I'll post up a screenshot in the morning

Maybe something went wrong during the install? Am I supposed to delete or move anything after I upload all the definitions? I'm running the newest version of ECUFlash (1.49 I think) and I restarted the program too after I transferred the definitions.

sounds like you still need your rom defined, wait for a bit cause you'll get a bite from someone who will define it for you soon. Im sure senate will be more than happy to help. After all, he is the master.

your car is using the same xml defs from the lancer oz if you open the xml file that is 81870015.xml you can change the area at the top that says your car name and stuff, also if everything is greyed out you are in beginner mode you need to go into the options and change to developer mode if its still all greyed out your rom is not properly identified...

Can you post a screenshot just like link62 did so I can see what your ROM ID comes up as? Or send me a copy of your .hex ROM file (my forum name at gmail dot com). Also do what darkmitsu stated - go to File > Options > User Level and change it to "Developer".

You can be in the exact same car and have a different rom id. I didnt think about the developer level though. Its probably just that.

Your ROM is not being correctly identified in EcuFlash. It's defaulting to 81900006. You need to send me a copy of your ROM if you want to be able to use EcuFlash.
