K&N typhoon decreased power
do you have any chance to dyno yor car? i'm wonder how your car will actually react...
however i would also expect some power decreasy in your case...but you should have it dynoed to know for sure...
K&N says something about 4-5 hp increase, but I'm sure that such increase is only possoble after adjusting fuel curves. With stck fuel curves you will be running too lean...

We foudn the opposite, the SRI systems like the K&N typhoon made te car run richer, not leaner because of the hot air being sucked in the factory ECU changed its tune, richened up and pulled timing out.

now the one below shows two results;
test 3 was made after SRI installation (without changing fuel curves)
test 4 after richening the mixture

and the last sheet below shows AFR measured during test 3 and test 4
As you can see AFR was very lean after SRI installation.
I agree however that while driving in heavy traffic when the car is not moving fast the AFR will go richened.
anyways what I recently did, I installed a pipe flowing additional cold air into the K&N SRI "box"
