help rescale injectors and latency 02 lancer
I am swapping out the vortech fmu for 440 injectors. I know i have to change injector scaling and adjust latency to get good idle. I first saved my stock ROM with ecuflash and logged my idle and cruise with evo scan. here is a screen shot does this look ok? should i change the injector scaling on evoscan from 515 to 232 or leave it like it is?
I logged idle and cruise with stock inj. so i -can compare with the 440's. then i adjust latency? it reads 19-20 at idle and 20-24 at cruise now at stock setting. Is that what it should be when new 440's are installed?
You need to increase the latency around 14v in small increments and monitor your trims to get them within +/- 5%.
ok i get that but where? in the battery inj volt. window? its in the screen shot. do i increase 14.06? I tried to increase 14.06 to 15.11 and the other values stayed the same.
i dont think my evoscan is working correctly when i logg. fuel trims dont move.

No. You increase the latencies on the right hand side. Don't change the voltages on the left.

ok i flashed with the injectors scaled to 370 but the rest of the map is stock, the car idles fine but lean, on a full throttle run under target boost (6 psi) my AFR was around 15, which i think is kinda lean. I scaled the injectors down from 412 because it was running way lean under boost (around 17 to 18) im wondering what i should do next and what latency actually means ? does a larger latency mean the injectors pulse more or less? in other words does a larger latency number mean more or less fuel? am i even asking the right question?

It will tell you what you need to know.
This is how it was told to me by Aaron from English Racing. Great guy and really know his stuff. This made it alot simpler for me and worked awesome with getting everything in order for my 440s
Ok so basically Aaron confirmed some things here on evom and separated the bull****. He told me to pick an afr then taper it down about .5 afr down the table so I did this

Next he said pick a injector scaling and do a WOT pull. then adjust the scaling up or down until your close. Mine are now about .3 to .5 afr difference between actual and table afrs. Once thats done scaling is done leave it alone then just adjust your latencies to get your trims close, he said disregard your long term trims and just watch your short term and as long as its staying +/- 5% I still made sure my long terms were at least +/- 10. He says evos stock will have LTFT up to +/- 8. Scaling=WOT and latencies=cruise and idle. He simplified alot for me and changing the maf scaling to stock evo is what really lined up my afrs for me. However I am sure this is due to me having as entirely stock evo intake setup including FMIC BOV and MAF
I have confirmed this works guys and I redid my injectors in like 10 mins its SWEET!!!!!

update: I had to rescale injectors to 361 and increase latency at14.06v to .672 car idles good and rich under boost (6psi) @ 12 afr. according to aem wideband. Oh yeah letting you know that i used the second o2 sensor for my wide band. Meaning i took out the 2nd o2 sensor and put the wideband o2 in its place. is there a way to disable the 2nd o2 sensor so i can get rid of the check engine light. And is this going to give me a falls reading?
