04-06 Ralliart Engine Management

Hey guys, not sure how much interest there will be in this; but consider it a sort of pet project of mine as my brother-in-law has an 04 Ralliart wagon that he'd kind of like to modify. From what I understand there aren't really any great ways to tune these engines due to their unique ECU and that nobody has really bothered disassembling the code. It's really too bad since the 4G69 is a Sirius II platform which can make use of much of the aftermarket out there for the Evo 8/9. Having done a number of Mirage/Lancer swaps and tons of research, I have an idea that might work for inexpensive engine management. I don't think it's been done before; but I could be wrong as I didn't look to deep to check. Basically, there are four areas that Mitsu merges their engine looms with their accessory looms and dash looms. Many engine harness' from other Mitsus tend to be plug-n-play with those four interconnects. I think it would be possible to use the engine harness from an Evo 8/9 and an Evo 8, 9, or even a Lancer ECU flashed with an Evo rom to make tuning a breeze. Much of the decoding has already been done on those ECU's and it's very easy for tuners to tune on them with the use of Openport cables. The only things I'm not sure of are the oddball things that the Ralliart has like the E-throttle system. Any input from the 4G69 experts out there? What do you guys think?

there are already 2 ways for sure to tune a 4g69 ECU...Evo ROMs I'm pretty sure don't work. One way you buy a license, and a tune of your choice, and you use one program to do everything (scan, datalog, edit, read, write). That's what I use. The other way you can purchase a definition from someone who wrote it, ...all the information you need is in the section above this one. see you there.
