Swaps???

I dont know if this thread has been done before but i need some info quick. My opinion on the lancer's low end acceleration sucks. The top end is alright but the low end is very dissapointing. What can i do to that motor to have it improve in this field? Please keep in mind i live pay check to pay check and got bills lol. What swaps can bolt up in the 03 Lancer ES?

Firstly I'll say do a search. Secondly, go here http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/. Its got everything you could want for the lancer.

do you have anything in the car yet? if you have headers and free flowing exaust than you will loose low end but gain top end, but other wise the car is kinda torquy well i take that back, stock lancer should feel more on the low end rather than top end. try supercharger!

i have a short ram intake and cat back exhaust. I am thinking about getting a cold air intake for my car, header, and a high flow cat.....would this make me a little happier? Those of you that have done this to your lancer, let me know what these things will do to this car.

The header and high flow cat will take more away from the low end to add to the top. If you want low end, you could get a bored throttle body, ecu and intake manifold.

i would say dont trade up from a sri to cai it wont make a big enough difference to blow an extra 100 on it, and put it to like the pb (that and the header are the best n/a mods you can do)

headers take away from low end but adds more to top end, he wants more low end to his car.. ecu, broed out throttle body and intake manifold from road race is what your looking for to increase low end power and through out the powerband. headers have more flowlso less back pressure which = less tq. the high flow cat will alow less back pressure so it will not help ur low end. if money isn't there yet, i go for ecu first my 2 cents

45hp? hmm i highly doubt it.. um i was referring to the piggy back ecu by road race motorsports.. who said they can reconfigure ur ecu to get 45 more hp.. not on the lancer. this guy is scamming you i think. people are out there do that, find out more and let me kno i don't think so

get a turbo cam from RPW. even though you're gonna be using a turbo cam on a NA car, it should improve (as described to me by RPW) the entire RPM range with the characteristic of better low to mid range torque with a "lazier" top-end. even though it has a lazier top-end, it should still be better overall than stock.

errr, back to the original post, no one has done a confirmed swap (or at least claims to have done one on the boards)
