Yep. Best you could do is try to resell it on ebay, but then you'd be even more of a scumbag than the original seller.

My personal skepticism makes me say: Never trust a company's dyno result for its own product.

Yes, Jet can upgrade your 2002 Lancer ECU (computer) and gain the vehicle 12-14 more horsepower at the wheels (stock vehicle), with mods the gain may only be 8-10 more hp, but the fuel and timing curves will be corrected to accommodate the modifications you have made.

thank you,
donnie @ Jet
Those are the figures what I expect from a small bock V8. On a 4 banger, that's too much.

From SCC, Jim Wolf has created a hacked ecu on a 200Sx (if I remember correctly) . . . 2-4 WHP gain on standalone. With other mods, HP figures started to pick up a bit from aggressive A/F timing.

if this ends up giving considerably good gains, would you be able to take it out quickly, say for things like warranty work, and....well pretty much just warranty work.

Sounds almost like one of those "advance timing kits" on eBay, to be frank.

I thought that the Mitsu computers hadn't been hacked since 98? I mean, I could be absolutely wrong, but...

And yes, never trust a company dyno. Dyno's can be made to say whatever you want them to say.

If I'm correct, you send your ECU as core, and JW returns an ECU with revised programming . . . via flash bios??? That's what I mean by hacking.

It's not a chip replacement like GM or VW.

Good to see some support though.
Perfect post. That and the AFC is adjustable. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&highlight=afc

does this chip possibly rid the speed/rev limiters? not that i would wanna get rid of the rev limiter, but the speed limiter would be a nice thing to ditch, for the future of course, since i can't hit 125 yet.

Ask 'em. They say it varies from application to application. I see very little use in it though. I wouldn't up the rev limit at all without re-doing the entire guts of the motor...conrods=to long...but hey, it gives us that copious torque we enjoy from the line.
