Estimates??
Estimates??
Hey guys whats going on, I got a tiny question for those who might have already gone down this upgrade path for the OZ Lancer. I am looking to buy the RRM flywheel and thier ECU piggyback unit, about how much extra power will I be looking at in terms oh horsepower gains? I already have a Coldair Intake and full 2.5 catback exhaust. Ohh ohh also (lol) with those mods what would you guys estimate my 0-60 time will be maybe like high 7 sec??? Thanks guys!
Go down to the bottom of the page in this section and bring up the threads from atleast a year ago. If it is not here then it's in Us Lancer General section.

There is a Huge review on the PB which is estimated to give 10-15% gains.
Todate there is no one that I know of who has dyno'd a Flywheel but you should not see much gain if at all from it. You might be lucky with 2whp but the benefit is that the car will rev quicker.

i belive i read a thread where someone said that the lighter RRM flywheel gives a theoretcal 17hp gain. Is this about right? Theoretical because you can not really measure the horsepower output but it better transfers the power that is lost by the heavier stock flywheel. Does sound about right??
there is a theoretical gain of about 20whp give or take a few hp, other den that when i first got it put in, it felt awesome, i still need to dyno my car however but i'ld guess 10whp from the piggy + say just 10whp from the flywheel, thats still pretty good for a lancer, maybe you should just save your money n get the NA pistons that are coming out. they should make your car a lot faster with those.
