Most Embarrassing Moments in the Evo

Well, i'm still new to the site as well as new to the car. The first day i brought the car home from the dealer I had some embarrassing moments with the evo.. So i searched around and i have seen that there is no thread about any embarrassing moments so i thought i would make one.. So if you had an embarrassing moment and want to share go right ahead

Here's mine: On the way home last night the dealer left me with no gas, so i had to stop and the gas station. I pull up and the person sitting next to me complemented my car then the gas attendant came over and i told him what i wanted, after that he went to my tank. Now i thought the gas lid was one of those that you just open and you didn't have to pop it open.. So he's like you gonna pop the gas tank open? I was like ohh yeah sorry forgot so i'm looking all over and i didn't see anything on the floor at first because it was dark. So i pulled the one under the dash. Thats where everything went wrong the hood popped up.. The guy was like uhh you just popped the hood not the gas tank. I was ohh i wanted to do that need to check something. So I turned the dome light on and i finally realized the ones on the floor. Of course i popped the trunk open instead to make it even worse... Then finnally the gas tank. So that goes to show you that i'm still a newb. I could see everyone laghing at me behind my back. So far thats my most embarrassing moment i had.

LOL! that is a good story.

I have had a couple "too much gas from a stop" moments, which put me a bit sideways. One such incident where I hit my wheel, but no major harm. I just felt like a fuggin' idiot and still think back to the moment to this day (which is probably a good thing as it keeps me from being too stupid). BTW - welcome to the car and the site!

Jeez which story to choose from. . . . I learned to drive manual on my evo so....lots of studders lots of kills, probably the worst mix of moments was going to work the day after i got it, im in the military so its alot of stop and go to show id's to get on base, killed it showing my id as the guy is asking me if i could beat his srt-4, then i pull up to work and im late so everyones outside and i left it in gear and killed it when i tried getting out and cant forget that nice little lunge it does before it dies..Good idea for a thread lol i cant believe they didnt fill ur tank tho! first evo i checked out i had another grand time when it was fully out of gas and and i had to walk to the gas station

For some reason this car (Evo in general) is alot more difficult than any other manual car to drive and get used to. I had just bought my car and I went to a meet, as I was leaving the meet at a Sonic I pulled out and right as Im putting it to 1st from R, I stalled. This was in front of a bunch of people and friends. Very emberrasing at the time

OP: Not nearly as embarrassing as picking a username that's nearly identical to another prominent member of this forum

I used to do that when I first got it too. I then made them try to drive it and they just said nvm. I'm guessing it's because of the AWD that makes it harder to launch then a FWD/RWD.

Like most of us, theres probobly many stories we could tell, but heres 1 of mine... Not too embarrasing, but still, sorta funny.

So I had just got my HFC installed, (also had a huge leak @ my DP) and I pull up to a light w/ a couple decent looking females next to me. I glance over and they are both laughing, and looking over at me... So I turn my head to get a full look of what theyre doing. (laughing) Im like hmmmnn what is soo damn funny... The passenger, sticks her head out of the window and says, "your car stinks"!

LOL The evo is a real panty dropper...

Don't belive I have any moment of embarrassment in my Evo. Maybe you could have done some research or you don't drive imports car prior to your Evo because most imports have their gas release on the same location. Guess you can't change your name but always remember there's only a true original Most Wanted in here. You're the second one. Welcome to Evolutionm!

Lol, some funny stories, This is my first car as well to... I stalled out a couple times already... Everyone looks at you and that is very embarrassing as well haha I only stalled out twice and I'm already getting better so i hope it stays that way. I don't want to give me or the car a bad name
