Back firing

Back firing

Inbetween shifts my car back fires at a high rpm. Any suggestions on what it could be?

2nd cat deteriorated? how'd ya do that? :P

i'm assuming you've got a service engine light on, yes? that could make the car run richer.. which could cause the backfires.

What kinda plugs you run? Whats the gap? What octane of gas do you run?

It just simply means you are running too rich, so there is unburned gas in your exhaust so its exploding there. Its because your a bit too rich, its no problem. You can leave it like that or take a bit of gas off with your piggyback.

The cel is on, and I figured it was the piggy. I'm going with the greddy emanage to have contol over it. Thanks, and if theres anything more you can think of let me know.

I have the denso iridium plugs with .044 gap, on 93 octane gas
